Simone Scaletta - 2020
Item #363
Maceration on skins for 6 days. The grapes are then pressed off the skins & fermented in steel for 15 days. The wine ages 12 months in French barriques, followed by 4 months in large barrels before settling in stainless steel tanks before bottling without filtration & fining. The wine then stands in bottle for 3 months.
Intense ruby color, with grenadine reflections. Nose of fresh aromas of wild roses and red fruits. It has a generous body, but is melted into delicate velvet notes balancing the complexity through a nice feeling of freshness and a good persistence.
The natural vocation of Langa. The best expression of the land is wine, which reveals its natural vocation in expressing the nobility of its origins and to become spontaneous, outgoing and flirtatious, just like the round hills of Langa.

From MOSNEL Chardonnay and subtly fruity Pinot Blanc, with a judicious touch of Pinot Noir to lend structure. Revealing in the glass a luminous white-gold shot through with pale green highlights, it opens to a thrust of vibrant, crisp fragrances, with cleanly-delineated citron and grapefruit, honeysuckle, and verbena, with just a hint of iodine. Crisp fruit notes of white peach and gooseberry characterizes the full-volumed palate that concludes with a lively, full-flavoured finish.
