Imperiale – (Frollani)

BETWEEN FINE WINES AND PRECIOUS TRADITIONS

Imperiale Bolgheri was created in Tuscany in 2015 on the solid foundations laid by generations of farmers: the Frollani family.
Today Matteo Frollani is giving the family business a completely new look, with innovative methods and products breaking past tradition – an important change for the Imperiale winery which now also includes e-commerce, offering red wine lovers all over Italy the possibility to taste fine wines.

The terroir of the winery Imperiale, in Bolgheri, at the heart of the tuscan geographical region of Maremma, has an optimal clayey-loam composition containing gravel and skeleton.
This optimal soil mix, together with the ideal geographic location and our long expertise in the cultivation of our vineyards by skilled dedicated winemakers, results in the production of our unique premium quality wines.

The Imperiale winery was born from Matteo’s dream to create elegant, persistent and long-lasting wines . A dream affirmed by his passion for great French wines.

The first vineyards were planted by Enio Frollani, one of the first to believe in the potential of the Bolgheri area, so much so that he was among the founding members of Doc Bolgheri.

During the meetings that preceded the founding of the Doc consortium, Enio became interested in the world of international grape varieties, to the point of selecting the most suitable soils for planting Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot vines, in order to begin production.

The chosen soil is clayey-loam containing gravel and skeleton;
this mixture contributes to making our wines unique.

Today Matteo Frollani continues this family history but giving a completely new aspect to his company, employing more ecological methods than those used in the past and innovative tools with an extremely positive impact on production.

Health and respect for the earth are the  values on which the company bases its work;
values that emerge in the refinement and quality of its products.
